We are a curated, cross-sector collaboration platform, that drives the implementation of climate resilience across organisations and value chains and, in doing so, advance the climate adaptation economy and public awareness.

The Idea

The Adaptation Exchange was born out of the Handelsblatt Conference “Corporate Climate Adaptation” in October 2025. In the weeks and months that followed, we developed the Founding Charter together with pioneers from across the climate resilience economy, drawing on feedback from more than 40 organisations. 

Our Ambition

The Adaptation Exchange serves as a vital collaboration platform, bridging corporates, financial institutions, insurers, and experts to enhance climate resilience across sectors. Initially, we focus on three themes, that will lead to measurable impacts:

1.  Assess - Resilience Standard: A practical framework to understand the current state of climate resilience across organisations, assets and value chains.
2. Decide - Business Case for Adaptation: Forward-looking decision frameworks that translate resilience priorities into investment and governance narratives.
3.  Demonstrate - Adaptation Stack: A flagship case showcasing how coordinated portfolios of adaptation solutions reduce real business impacts from climate hazards.
